Wing Collar - Ganton Shirts

The wing collar has been a staple of formal men's wear for over a century, and its popularity has endured to this day. It is considered the most formal collar style and is usually reserved for black tie events, such as weddings, galas, and other formal occasions.

The wing collar is specifically designed to be worn with a bow tie or cravat, which complements the shape of the collar and enhances the overall appearance of the outfit. The wings of the collar stand up and frame the tie, creating a sharp, sophisticated look.

Traditionally, the wing collar was made of cotton or linen and was detachable, so it could be removed for cleaning or replaced if it became worn. Today, however, our wing collars are attached to the shirt.
